February 3rd, 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. CST
Zabine was born in WWII Germany where she survived a harrowing bombing of Bremerhaven. As a Youth she learned and had to accept the facts behind “The Diary of Anne Frank”.
At age 17 she started her long journey of visiting 65 countries for work, adventure or curiosity. It was as an Au Pair she lived with the daughter of Supreme Court Judge Douglas in Virginia Water near Eaton College and Windsor Castle. She even had a moment answering a phone call from then candidate John F. Kennedy.
She is what one refers to as a “renaissance woman”…a life well lived with an abundance of experiences. It can be stated she is full of ideas ad known to bring each into action, may it be in “brick and mortar”, in Virtual Reality, or just as an “Online Experience Campus”.
Some of her travels were by plane, Others by old fashioned steamboats (Atlantic) and even small 45ft and 75ft vessels across the Pacific for a total of 43,000 sea miles!
In 2012 she launched “The Unity Museum” located near the University of WA, in Seattle, and is its executive Director. The museum is dedicated to the topics of “ Social Justice”, may it be gender, race, climate or science for tomorrow’s daily survival.
This is a story of accepting sorrow, tragedies and ultimate survival that filled her heart with hope and focus for the future of our Youth and civilization
