The ninth Bahá’í Choral Music Festival will be held at the Baha’i House of Worship in Wilmette, Illinois, May 21–24.
Attended each year by about 200 singers from around the United States and as many as 13 countries around the world, the festival has become highly anticipated by residents in the North Shore area of Chicago.
Area residents nearly fill the House of Worship for the two identical Devotional Concerts, which will be held this year at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. May 24, culminating three days’ intensive rehearsals.
The music, already being selected, will fill the rafters with a wide variety of sacred a cappella compositions accompanied by supporting scriptures from the religions of the world.
This year marks the first time the festival will be held with the beautiful new Welcome Center open.
This will also be the first year in which singers from local churches and synagogues will be invited to join the Festival Choir in the last selection of each Devotional Concert.
Registration will open soon, so start making plans now to join in this spectacular spiritual event that lifts spirits and soothes souls.
For more information on the Festival and concerts, and how to register as a participant, contact the Music Department at the House of Worship (Kay Hubbard, email@example.com or 847-853-2337 or 2330).
