January 11 – 13 ~ Teaching: The Greatest Gift of God
Bruce Grover and Michael Sabet
The challenges facing the human race have never been clearer — and the call to arise to teach the Cause has never been more urgent. But, how do you really teach and which methods are most effective? In this lively, hands-on weekend you will delve into the Writings and recent letters from the World Centre to explore the critical role you can play as a teacher of the Cause. And, you will leave with a plan of action and the information you need to “advance the process of entry by troops” in your cluster. Join us!

January 18 – 20 ~ A Winter Retreat: Turn the Mirror of Your Spirit Heavenward
Pat Romano-McGraw
‘Abdu-l’Baha tells us that "The meditative faculty is akin to the mirror; if you put it before earthly objects it will reflect them…But if you turn the mirror of your spirits heavenwards, …. the Sun of Reality will be reflected in your hearts, and the virtues of the Kingdom will be obtained." In the humdrum of daily life, it is often difficult to find time to immerse ourselves in this spiritual kingdom. Come to Greenacre and immerse yourself in the Divine mysteries. Bring your journal or just yourself and journey inward with the Seven Valleys as your guide.

January 18 – 20 ~ Walking Together on a Path of Service (Part 1): Ruhi Book 7 Intensive (3 days)
Facilitator to be announced
An initial training course for those eager to serve as tutors/facilitators of study circles. The aim of Book 7 is to prepare tutors who can effectively introduce the sequence of courses to others. Those who complete this book are urged to form new study circles for which they will serve as tutors, participating in ongoing tutor reflection gatherings, and furthering their tutor training. Required Preparation: Book 7 should be obtained ahead of time, and Units 1 & 2 should be filled out to help facilitate the intensive process. Prerequisite for Registration: Ruhi Books 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6.

January 25 – 27 ~ Climate Change and the Baha’i Teachings
Christine Muller
Climate change is a challenging problem facing humankind in the 21st century. The ability to relate Baha’i teachings to current issues is also an objective of our study circles, and therefore an integral part of the Five Year Plan. The participants will learn scientific facts about the causes of climate change, explore its impacts, discuss its moral implications, apply spiritual principles from the Baha’i Writings, investigate actions to mitigate it, and bring home materials and ideas on how to present to others what they have learned.
