Images of New Entrance to the House of Worship
Following are architectural renderings of the new handicap accessible entrance on the northern side of the House of Worship. We are pleased that the new entrance provides unencumbered access to all guests so that they no longer have to use stairs to visit the Welcome Center, Bookstore or Temple Auditorium. Additionally, the new doors are designed for easy use by guests with restricted mobility and can be activated to open automatically by touching the activation panel adjacent to the door.
We regret, however, that due to work being performed by (MWRD) the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District on the pumping station under the bridge just north of the Temple, vehicle access and handicap parking at the northern entrance is unavailable at this time. (Wheelchairs can be brought down the sidewalk along Sheridan Road to the northern entrance.) Please call the House of Worship for the most up-to-date information about accessibility: 847-853-2330.
