Gift-giving, social gatherings and acts of charity characterize Ayyam-i-Ha, an end-of-the-year Baha'i festival that goes from sunset Feb. 25 to sunset March 1. Ayyam-i-Ha serves as a spiritual preparation for the annual Fast (March 2-20), followed by Naw-Ruz, the Baha'i new year, on March 21, the first day of spring.
