“Transforming Habits of Thought” was the theme of the Association for Baha’i Studies conference held from August 11 to 14 in San Francisco, Calif. — and the focus of the Media Boot Camp held this year in conjunction with the conference.

Why Baha’i – Naomi’s Story

Some 25 digital storytellers — some of them seasoned media producers, others interested novices — explored this theme from a variety of angles using video, audio, and multimedia photography. Working in teams of two to six participants, they learned about constructing a story for the media and gained hands-on experience with software and equipment.
The media products showcased here were conceived, shot and edited over the course of two and a half days. Many participants had no prior experience, and none had worked together in a team setting before.

The Media Boot Camp was organized by the U.S. Baha’i Media Services and Office of Communications.
The next Media Boot Camp will be held in conjunction with the Baha’i Social and Economic Development Conference to be held in Orlando, Fla., from December 17 to 20. See the Rabbani Trust website for more information.
