Mavis Vaughn “manifested her love for her Lord through her devoted service to children,” her husband shared. She was a teacher of children in North and South America, both professionally and in Bahá’í classes.
She passed away January 11, 2010, of cancer. She was 64 and lived most recently in Pima County, Arizona.

Pooran Abdi Rowhani chose to be trained as a nurse so she could travel around the world to serve the Cause of Baha’u'llah. She got her wish, pioneering to goal countries on two continents before settling in the United States with her family.
Pooran passed away February 24, 2010, at age 76. She had lived for some years in Calabasas, California.
